DBEP Terms of Publication

DBEP (Database of Evidence Profiles) System (aka the System) is an open and free database of the Evidence Profiles operated by Evidence Prime Inc. (aka the Operator).

Publishing the profile to the database, you - the Evidence Profile Publisher - confirm that you are aware of the following:

  • You, the Evidence Profile Publisher, confirm that you are the sole author of the published Evidence Profile or that you possess the legal rights to publish the Evidence Profile granted to you by the legal owners of the Profile;
  • You, the Evidence Profile Publisher, are responsible to include in the publication manifest (which will be requested by the System before the publishing) all the names of the people and institutions that shall be listed as copyright holders as well and you are responsible to receive their consent to be listed;
  • The Evidence Profile will be made available to everyone under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license in its current edition, published at http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/‍
  • You, and the individuals you designate in the DBEP system, will retain rights to update or remove the Evidence Profile in/from the DBEP. The Operator of the DBEP system will process your update or remove the Profile according to your request, although this will not affect the licensed rights of the users who might have taken advantage of the versions formerly available;
  • The Operator of the System cannot be held responsible for any infringements of the rights of any third parties related to the published Evidence Profiles. All cases of actual or potential rights infringements shall be reported to the Operator according to the Complaint Guidelines.
  • The service is provided “as is” and the Operator is expressly indemnified from any liabilities as per the Limitation Of Liability, Indemnification, Disclaimer And Non-Waiver of Rights sections of the Terms of Service.
